Hi my name is Joanne Knight and I am the owner of Play Station nursery. I set this nursery up from scratch, with the intention of creating a fabulous provision that marries quality childcare with a happy working environment for my staff. I love following the children through their adventures with us and onto the next stage of life with the tools to start their next big step to primary school. I hate saying goodbye but love knowing the confident individuals they have all become due to our influence. We have been running a successful provision for over 24 years now and continue to maintain the same amount of enthusiasm as the day we started. Working with my amazing, devoted staff and sharing my day with the children is definitely the best job in the world.

My name is Natalie and I am the Manager. I have worked at Play Station for over 16 years and I have been manager since 2018. I have an NNEB qualification in childcare and Level 2 in understabding Autism. I have worked in childcare for over 28 years in both nurseries and in family homes,  bestowing me with experience with a variety of ages and differing needs of children and families. 

Hi I’m Stacey. I hold a NVQ Level 3 qualification and have been in childcare for 12 years. I have experience within all rooms but currently am the room leader and key person within baby room. I have a child of my own that I love taking out and exploring with, which helps with my creative mind in the setting.

Hi I am Tiana, I am the lead practitioner in the 2-3’s. I am Level 3 qualified and have been at Play station since October 2023. I enjoy supporting the children in developing their language, through singing songs and group activities.

Hi I’m Immi, I started at Play station in 2023. I have previously worked in other settings and have 10 years of early years experience. I enjoy providing the children with opportunities to be creative, through different crafts.

Hi I’m Ella, I am Level 3 qualified. I completed my apprenticeship and started at Play Station in early 2023. I have recently took the senior role within the 2-3’s room. I enjoy providing the children with lots of messy play, building on their explorative and creative minds.

Hi I’m George and I work in the 0-2’s group and hold NVQ Level 3. I started at Play Station in 2016 and have worked in the 0-2’s room for almost all of that time. I had time off to have my own children and feel I have returned with an even deeper knowledge and understanding of baby development and the challenges that parents can face at times. 

Hi I’m Mailey. I am currently studying my L3 in childcare. I joined Play Station in February 2024. I have recently moved from the 2-3 age group to the 0-2’s. I am enjoying supporting the babies in developing their physical skills as they build on meeting their milestones. 

Hi I’m Freya. I work with the 2-3’s and am currently completing my NVQ Level 3. I  have been at Play Station since May 2023 and have worked with all age groups. I enjoy providing the children with lots of craft activities, letting them express themselves and use their imagination. 

Hi I’m Sam, I am Level 3 qualified. I  joined Play Station in May 2021. I started in 2-3’s but now enjoying my time within the 3-5’s room. I enjoy supporting the children in building on their confidence and watching them develop into their own characters.

Hi I’m Kaidian. I work with the 3-5’s and am currently completing my NVQ Level 2. I have enjoyed some time in the 0-2’s room where I loved working with the younger ages and enjoyed watching them and their personalities shine. But I am now enjoying my time in 3-5’s watching them each blossom into their own characters. 

Hi I’m Ange. I have been working at Play Station since 2013. I oversee the chidlrens nutritional needs, ordering and prepare their food. I have training in food hygiene, first aid and allergy awareness. I also support the chidlren in the room around lunch time.
